AFLV accelerates progress in fraternity and sorority communities through change-enabling experiences.


Position Overview

The Student Experience Director will serve as the primary staff member responsible for leading the development and execution of AFLV educational experiences with focused efforts in participant engagement, project management, educational content design and discovery, and in the development of relationships, resources, and partnerships. The continuous improvement of experiences (all aspects) will be a primary success measure associated with this role.


The ideal candidate must be able to flourish in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. They must also show the ability to be nimble in working with subscribers, partners, and fellow team members, exercising strong conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Individuals will be successful in this position based on their ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with little day-to-day supervision.


A commitment to affecting systemic change and sustainable progress in the undergraduate fraternal experience is also required.


Education & Experience

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Master’s Degree preferred in a relevant discipline (curriculum design, higher education/student affairs, project management, etc.)
  • Demonstrated professional experience/success in experience design/execution and project management.


Job Responsibilities
  • Commit to the AFLV Operating System, using it as the framework to execute job responsibilities.
  • Serve as the primary staff member responsible for AFLV student experience design and execution, that would include but not be limited to the following: conference education, The Source, AFLV LeaderShape, The Journey, AFLV Awards & Assessment, and the conference internship program. See additional information below.
  • Provide leadership to team members to support student experience design and execution.
  • Create, discover, and execute educational content through various mediums and across the slate of educational experiences. Conduct regular and ongoing assessment of student experiences.
  • Collaborate with external partners and content providers to enhance student experiences.
  • Support and supervise the work of volunteers, volunteer committees, and/or workgroups.
  • Provide prompt, responsive, and professional support to AFLV stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain AFLV relationships at various industry events and initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure best-in-class experience design and execution.
  • Contribute to overall organization strategy, execution, and operations, both in contributing to strategic discussions and in executing on new ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Detailed Areas of Responsibility

Overall experience design and execution that includes:

  • Conference Education: submission guidelines & protocol; volunteer training & management; review guidelines & protocol; session selection, curation, & scheduling; presenter preparation, resources, and support; on-site execution; content collection; evaluation & assessment.
  • The Source: content creation and discovery; online (social media) engagement strategy; resource & partnership development; online resource cataloging; evaluation & assessment.
  • AFLV LeaderShape: program logistics (site selection, contracts, travel, etc.); volunteer training & management; participant recruitment, engagement, and preparation, ancillary experience design; evaluation & assessment.
  • The Journey: partner recruitment, engagement, and preparation; content design and preparation; local logistics planning (local agencies, excursions, etc.); evaluation & assessment. Awards & Assessment: awards software point person; volunteer management/supervision; content maintenance & relevancy; resource development; administrative support; participant recruitment & engagement.
  • Conference Internship Program: submission guidelines & protocol; review/selection guidelines & protocol; training content creation; volunteer management/supervision.


Physical Demands
  • Must be able to move about the office as well as sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use the phone and computer, sometimes for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to work prolonged days, especially during on-site conference work; early mornings through late evenings.
  • Must be comfortable with regular domestic travel.
  • Light to heavy lifting is periodically required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.


Reporting Relationship

This position will report directly to the AFLV Executive Director.



This position allows for remote work within US time zones. An (approx. 5-8 day) onboarding in Orlando, FL is required, with all onboarding expenses covered by the organization. Please indicate your preferred working location in your application.



This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $49,000 - $59,000. A competitive benefits package is also included. The final offer will be commensurate with experience.
