Thank you for joining us at #AFLVCentral! We are looking forward to a great conference filled with inclusive programming and collaboration between campus administrators, national organizations, and students to accelerate progress in fraternity/sorority communities.


Please see below for all the resources you'll need as an advisor.


New for 2018

Here are new details for #AFLVCentral 2018:

  • This year, we will be utilizing our Guidebook app to allow for students to pre-register for breakout sessions and Game Changers. Your students will be able to sign up in advance for programs they are the most interested in beginning Wednesday, January 31.
    • Please note, this a brand new feature we're trying out this year, and it is the responsibility of the student to go to the sessions they signed up for and to make alternative plans if the session registration is full. 
    • By signing up for a session, you are not guaranteed a spot. We are utilizing the Guidebook app for planning purposes. If we see a session is filling up quickly before we get on-site, we may be able to adjust the schedule to put the session in a larger room.
    • While we are unable to provide conference-wide wifi, to minimize the amount of data used, attendees can enjoy complimentary wifi in their sleeping rooms. We also have wifi available for professionals in the Professionals' Lounge and for students in the Study Lounge. 
    • If you prefer to use Guidebook on your desktop or laptop computer, a Guidebook webpage is also available.
  • For safety issues and to expedite the hotel check-in process, please let the JW Marriott know what students will be staying on the property. A form will come soon via the JW Marriott and other Indy hotels.

Arrival & Registration

To get the most out of the conference experience, we recommend arriving by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 8. You don't want to miss the NBGLC Welcome Reception and LGBTQA Welcome Reception at 5:30 p.m.! View the schedule overview here

If you arriving by bus, please fill out our charter bus travel form to ensure a smooth arrival and departure for your delegation. Need parking for your bus? Please check out our travel page for parking rates. 


When you arrive, check in with the hotel first, and then come to Griffin Hall to register.

Registration Updates

You may update your registration online as long as online registration is still open. All you need to do is: log in, locate My Profile, then Manage Profile, and then Event Registrations. Once you are in the Event Registrations portal, you can see any registration you've made. Here, you can make changes by clicking on the small edit icon (which looks like a paper and pencil).  


Registration Refunds & Cancellations

Requests received on or before the Friday before the conference begins, if approved, will receive 90% of the registration fee.

Requests received after the Friday before the conference begins, but before noon on the Wednesday before the conference begins, if approved, will receive 60% of the registration fee.

Requests received after noon on the Wednesday prior to the conference, but within 10 business days of the conclusion of the conference, if approved, will receive 30% of the registration fee. 


Conference Prep

Before attending #AFLVCentral, please review the Standards Policy & Process with your students. Also, we recommend utilizing our Delegation Checklist to make sure your students are up to speed on everything #AFLVCentral.

In addition to the Delegation Check List, we've also provided a sample Delegate Participation Agreement to ensure your students uphold the standards and policies of not only #AFLVCentral but your institution as well.

If your students need an advisor letter to their professors, we've provided a sample letter you can use.  


New this year, we've created a conference planning worksheet you and your students can use to best plan their #AFLVCentral experience. We're set to have record numbers in attendance, so we strongly suggest planning ahead.

    • Who Should Attend? All fraternity/sorority professionals & graduate students

      Struggling with moving students on campus to take action? To create a movement, you must build upon the desires of believers to the issue causes address. Public awareness and support is based on an organization's ability to hook, inspire and tap into the passions that make it impossible to not get involved. This session will help fraternity/sorority professionals understand what the research, found in the Millennial Impact Report, can tell us about this generation of college students and practical actions you can take to ensure those you advise & support feel the desire to act.

Emergency Contacts

The emergency contact card is no longer a part of the conference check-in. We have this information captured through the registration form, but if you need to provide this for your institution please be sure to do so before attending the conference.
