Your job includes dozens of functions, several of which you just figured out this week. Maximizing your productivity as a professional in the membership business is more important than ever. In this two-hour seminar, Robby Slaughter will cover hands-on techniques including:
- Improving Meetings: We spend more time in meetings than almost anything else, but often have little to show for it. We’ll discuss when and why to meet, how to create an effective agenda, and facilitating to lead–running a meeting as “the boss”, while still ensuring that everyone has a chance to be included.
- The Power of “No”: Learning to say "no" is one of the best ways to improve productivity at the office, but doing so can be incredibly difficult. We’ll talk about the true meaning of “no”, show how “no” actually shows loyalty, focus, and specialization, discuss strategies for saying “no” in a positive way and use “no” to separate real urgency from false urgency.
- Radical Technology Enhancements: Whether it’s the ongoing battle with your email inbox or managing documents and files, the computer is often a source of frustration more than efficiency. This component of the workshop includes a dramatic new philosophy for your email and practical tips for working with the machine—instead of against it.

Option 1: $65 | Option 2: $25
There are two ways you can register for the Professional Development Institute for HQ Professionals. Option 1 includes a bundle with the Affiliation Luncheon for $65. Option 2 just includes the Institute for $25.
This institute has a limited capacity of 70, so we are limiting the bundle to no more than 4 participants from any one national office/headquarters, and encourage only staff members at fraternity & sorority headquarters/national offices register.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have previously register for the conference, including conference meals, you will still need to complete the registration form, but please DO NOT sign up for the affiliation luncheon more than once.
