Tuscaloosa, Alabama | May 2012

The Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values is excited to partner with UA Greek Relief and the Fraternity and Sorority community at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for a service immersion experience, which will take place May 15 - 20, 2012.  

Fraternity and sorority student leaders from across the country will come together for a week of service,  immersion, and values exploration. Trip participants will work alongside the people of Tuscaloosa on various construction and tornado clean up projects. 

This experience is open to fraternity and sorority students. A diverse group with varied experiences and backgrounds is desired. The priority application deadline for this experience is Friday, April 13th. Early applications are strongly encouraged. Phone interviews will take place as needed, and notification of participation will be made on a rolling basis in order to allow ample time to arrange plane travel, etc.

The immersion trip experience is $450 per participant plus the cost of round-trip airfare from your home airport. The first 10 participants accepted will receive complimentary round trip airfare from Southwest Airlines!  All participants must fly in to Birmingham, Alabama by 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 15th. Participants are strongly encouraged to fundraise to help cover their costs, and more information about scholarship opportunities will be made available as they arise. Lodging, ground transportation, all meals and supplies are included in the participation fee.

AFLV Silent Auction Scholarship - Full:

One (1) registration for an undergraduate student ($450.00) is sponsored by funds raised during the AFLV Undergraduate Leadership Conferences. Preference will be given to individual students who demonstrate the highest need. Application deadline: April 13th
