Pre-Conference Trip: Whale Watching Excursion
Thursday, June 21, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $60
Join us for a fabulous experience on the Pacific Ocean. This trip will provide an excellent view of the coast of southern California that most people don't see. This whale watching cruise will include informative commentary provided by experienced staff. It will be both educational and fun. During June, participants can see Blue whales, Gray whales, and possibly Fin, Humpback whales, Minke whales, and Killer whales (Orcas). Other wildlife frequently spotted are Common, Bottlenose, Risso's, and Pacific White Sided dolphins. Imagine watching the dolphins darting back and forth, playing around the boat, and jumping in and out of the water!
No trip to the coast of California is complete without a whale watching experience. This will be a truly memorable experience for all ages. Come join the fun and excitement of viewing one of nature's more incredible mammals.
Transportation to the boat and lunch are included in this excursion.
Pre-Conference Trip: Catalina Island Adventure
Wednesday, June 20
Cost: $150
Enjoy a fun and relaxing day on scenic Catalina Island. Twenty two miles off the coast of Southern California sits the plucky little playground only 76 square miles in size. Raw landscape, plunging gorges, crags and coves, and two harbors provide the perfect opportunity to hike, mountain bike, fish, snorkel, shop, or sit and enjoy the ambiance.
We start with the one-hour ferry boat ride across the sea to Catalina. Avalon - the main drop-off point for visitors - is positioned on the southern end of the island. After arriving on the island, guests can explore at their leisure or use their tour voucher. This excursion voucher lets guests experience one of the island's many exciting and exclusive tours, like the Glass Bottom Boat or Casino Tour! These tours give guests an inside look at the island's natural history and beauty. Afterwards, hear to the boardwalk for a group lunch and then roam the town buying souvenirs and taking in the relaxation island style. This is an easy and great getaway that all participants are sure to enjoy!
This excursion includes roundtrip ferry transportation, a special tour of your choice*, lunch, and time for shopping and relaxation.
*Guests choice of one of the following tours/activities: Avalon City Tour, Glass Bottom Boat Tour, Casino Tour, One Hour Snorkel Gear Rental, One Hour Kayak Rental, Two Hour Bike Rental, or 18 Holes of Miniature Golf.

Pre-Conference Disneyland Options
All Options are Wednesday, June 20
Daylong Park Hopper
Cost: $110
These individuals will leave the hotel in the morning and stay at the park through the fireworks and parade. This ticket includes admission to both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Daylong Disneyland
Cost: $90
These individuals will leave the hotel in the morning and stay at the park through the fireworks and parade. This ticket includes admissions to Disneyland only.
Twilight Disneyland
Cost: $60
These individuals will leave the hotel at 3:30 p.m. and stay at the park through the fireworks and parade. They will return to the hotel with those who stayed all day. This option allows for some to arrive in California on Wednesday morning, check into the hotel, ad then go to the park for the evening. This ticket is for Disneyland only.
Post-Conference Trip
Hollywood

Hollywood, a suburb of Los Angeles, got its start as a Christian community in 1887, a city without bars or gambling. It is ironic that in 1913 Cecil B DeMille rented a barn at the corner of Vine and Selma to use in making a movie. The rest is history. Hollywood, has for decades been the center of wealth and glamor. Every street provides famous and infamous attractions that boggle the mind and are as creative as the imagination of those makig the movies. From Hollywood Boulevard to Beverly Hills, there is something to see on every street and corner. Mann's Chinease Theater, the Walk of Fame, and the El Capitan Theater are only a few steps from the Roosevelt Hotel. See for yourself all the sites you've heard about from the hmes of the rich and famous and Rodeo Drive to the famous Hollwood sign and real movie studios.
The red carpet experience begins Sunday at noon with a drive up the coast to one of the most famous beaches in the world. Santa Monica has been the star of LA's coastline since the 1890s. In the 20s it was known as the "gold coast" and the beach and pier are the major attractions with the 11 story ferris wheel and the 1922 carousel with 44 handcrafted horses. Watch people fishing from the pier and bikini clad boarders and surfers.
Stroll along the beach or visit the many shops or take a ride on that famous Carousel. Whatever you do, this will be a fun stop on the way to Hollywood.
After checking into the Roosevelt Hotel, participants will take in a show. On Monday morning, participants will tour Beverly Hills. Hop on/off bus tickets are a part of the package, enabling participants to choose from almost 20 famous sites. There will be plenty of time for shopping and sightseeing before the traditional surprise closing dinner.
The registration fee includes transportation from Long Beach to Hollywood and includes a stop in Santa Monica. The fee also includes Hollywood style evening entertainment. Join us for this three-day, spectacular opportunity!
The Roosevelt Hotel
Located 233 feet from the Grauman's Chinease Theater and just across the street from the Walk of Fame, the Roosevelt Hotel is a wonderful location for exploring Hollywood.

Refreshments are available at the Library Bar and the Spare Room which features vintage bowling lanes. King and Double Deluxe rooms are available at the conference rate of $194 plus tax. Those who would like to stay longer can enjoy these rates through June 29.
