AFLV West Awards
It’s time to stand up and be recognized for all of the great things that your councils are doing to improve the fraternity and sorority experience on your campuses! We would like to encourage all Member Councils to apply for the well-deserved recognition of their fraternity and sorority community by submitting an award application packet. All Member Councils that are in good standing and have paid their AFLV dues are eligible to submit an award application.
As you are aware, as of July 1, 2009, the Western Regional Greek Association and Mid-American Greek Council Association were officially merged to form the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV). With this merger comes a shift with our awards application process. Over the next three years, the former WRGA awards, now known as the AFLV West awards, will be phased out and replaced by the overall AFLV awards and accreditation process. Throughout this three year process, there will be noticeable shifts in the West awards process as we aclimate our member councils and advisors to the overall awards criteria.
In order to encourage AFLV member councils to continue to search for innovative and visionary ways to address the challenges they face, the Kaleidoscope Award has been created. This recognition may be bestowed upon one member council (from among all size divisions) that has demonstrated initiative and innovation in addressing a new or on-going issue facing its Greek community. Only one Wardhammar Kaleidoscope may be given each year..
